Well school is over, and I’ve had a lot go on since I last update my site. I hope to stay with it, but who knows. Well let’s start from where I left off. The TV that Casey and I won was a 50″ SXRD 1080p TV from Sony. We have had to upgrade our cable service to HD in order to take full advantage, and everything looks amazing with it.

Besides that, I had been dealing with school. I have 2 grades reported as of now (an A and a B) and expect the last to be an A. I could have pulled out a 4.0 but got lazy midway through the semester on a paper that was around 25% of my grade. Oh well, I am still happy with my grades and look forward to my little time off before my summer school starts in June.

My birthday is in a few days, and so is Kristin’s (since she’s born on the 9th, and I on the 10th), so we are planning on celebrating together. On other celebrations, Kristin and I are going to fly to Reno where my father is getting married. Yes I plan on doing a little gambling, and will take picture if I win big, like I did last time.

Summer has started, and I am looking forward to relaxing, fishing, and hanging out with ::scott(”):: , especially since he’s leaving in June. Maggie’s been doing well, except she doesn’t like to be running around in the heat for extended periods of time, she tends to vomit (or it might be because she ate ::scott(”)::’s workout glove, who knows).

I just recently went to Kristin’s graduation and had a great time hanging out with her and her family, who are some of the funniest group of people to hang out with and extremely nice. She’s starting graduate school this summer, and will be in a class with me in the fall before I graduate and cry because I’m having to join the real world.

Besides that, I am just working at TU, like normal, and trying to find something productive to do besides play poker when I don’t have work to do (which it looks like this summer is going to be a little slow). Casey and I are learning Spanish through Rosetta Stone, and I will probably bring it to work with me in order to do something with my free time. Maybe I’ll get back into do some computer stuff, but who knows, as of right now, I’m happy I have no extra responsibilities besides the normal ones. Hope everyone is having a good summer, and I hope to write here soon.

P.S. Flickr will be updated with pictures from my house, and probably more pictures of Madison that Kristin took when we were down in Houston. I can’t wait to see her, but do not look forward to the drive (that’s why I’ll most likely fly!).

I have finally finished taking exams in 2 of my classes (the third does not have exams) and writing a 20 page paper in my third class. I have another 20 page paper thats due in the third class, but that’s not for a month. Work is calming down, and I’m getting caught up since reorganizing my schedule. I don’t have any big projects or homework assignments for awhile, and it feels good not to have anything to worry about getting done.
So this weekend I am organizing my office with Casey, and hoping to clean my car, as well as organize some of the rest of the house. Maybe we’ll even be able to get started on the networking of the house with our massive amount of CAT 6 cable we have at our disposal. Anyhow, it feels good to not have anything to worry about, and have everything seem to fall in place. I’m sure it won’t last forever, as it never does, but I enjoy the randomness and feeling it brings.

I watched an old video taken of me from sophomore or junior year in which I had drank a little to much and was yelling at Casey and Sean (an Irishman that was taking classes at TU). I look forward to posting it and seeing the comments from everyone. Warning: I was joking on the comments I made, and I do not know what I was saying when I was not understandable.

Besides that, school is interesting, Maggie is sick, and I need to start looking into jobs for after graduation. If anyone has any good ideas, let me know, but I would like to stay in Tulsa for a bit to hang out with my friends and my girlfriend. I don’t intend to live in Tulsa to rest of my life, but I have no reason to run off right now, and Tulsa is not the worst place in the world.

Hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to seeing some comments or emails with updates from others that I haven’t talked to in awhile, or just missed something from someone I have talked to recently. Remember: it’s not how you play the game, it’s whether you paid to play or not. (No clue on what that means!)

Ok, well first off, it’s been awhile and I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to post. What’s new you asked? Well actually a lot has taken place. Let’s go in order. I am currently dating a lovely lady named Kristin. I even visited her over break after I visited my Grandmother in New York (I met my father up there also). True I did have to spend 11 hours in Detriot because of some issues such as not having a flight crew and a malfunctioning plane, but I finally arrived there for New Years. It was a great time. I finished my first semester of Graduate school with two B’s and an A, which is overall not bad, but I’m shooting for a 4.0 this semester with my Student Investment Fund, MIS, and Management classes that I am taking. On a dumb note, I broke my hand hitting a door in anger, which I do not care to go into, but realize that it was quite stupid. I moved out of the house I rented with Justin when I got back into town and now currently reside about 2 miles away with Casey. Nothing is wrong with Justin, we’re just not good roommates together. Anyhow, it was good seeing more of him the other day when he took the 5 of us to lunch (Scott, Casey, Kristin, him and I) and I am very glad that he has quit smoking. So that’s about what’s happened and I am happy to say that I look forward to this year. Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year, along with any Holiday festivities that they may celebrate.

Well since the last time, I’ve had a few interesting things go on. I was able to aquire another loaner so they could replace my bumper, which looks excellent. I was given another 3-series, but this time it was a 2006 BMW 330XI with the premium package. It only had 3000 miles on it and was very fun to drive. I went to Octoberfest wtih a few friends, which was overall pretty entertaining and the beer was decent. Then I went to sewer party, with the naughty or nice theme. I just dressed normally and said I was “nice Nick”, which many people found entertaining. School is getting busy, and I have a few things that need to be done yesterday (if you get my drift). Looking forward to Thanksgiving so I can see my brother, my mother, and my neice (she’s able to smile now!). When I’ve been getting bored, been playing poker, which I have actually made a decent return. I have a $25,000 tournament that I’ve been automatically signed up for due to receiving points from playing. So far there’s around 175 people in, and hopefully I can come away with a nice amount of cash. I will keep you posted.

Well I got my grades back and they were the average with the class. I am not happy with them at all but have a few things to say… 1) Quoting my Accounting teacher, “This test doesn’t define who you are, it’s a test, and all it defines is how much information over the last 2 months you’re able to regurgitate. 2) I’ve actually learned a lot from both of these classes, so I know I’ve gotten something in return. 3) There’s still a lot of class and grades left, so more than enough time to improve.

I agree with my professor’s statement in the fact that doing well on a test does not indicate how well you will do in the real world, or how you are as a person. I feel as though I can do better, and will do better, but at the same time not sad from the mediocre outcome of these two exams.

Later today I shall be receiving the grades for my Accounting and Economics midterms. I feel like I did decent on my Accounting, and my Economics I am clueless. I tend to ignore most other things when I am receiving grades back for big assignments because that’s all my mind can focus on. Atleast there’s not any anxiety that goes along with my desire to know my grades, but there is a little A.D.D. in my life when these things occur. Anyhow, I will post soon as to the outcomes, unless they are terrible, in which there will be a post with the title “Terrible” and the content will simply state “midterms.” That will be the end of story.

Where to start? Oh I have several midterms this week and next. I have one part of my Accounting midterm on Thursday followed by my Macroeconomics later that day. Then next week I have the second part of my Accounting midterm on Tuesday. Good news today was that my Finance professor is giving us a take-home midterm on Monday (should be due in a week) instead of the scheduled one on Wednesday.

Bad news of the day: I was run into by a 17-18 year old kid in his Grandmother’s 1996 Lexus on the off ramp on 44. We we’re traveling about 3-5 mph and for some reason he decided not to stop and ran into the back of my car. So after dealing with his grandmother, I’ve been able to sneak my car into one shop for an estimate and will run to two more shops early tomorrow morning to get this out of the way. Of course I’m not pleased at all, and it distracted me enough that I wasn’t able to keep my mind on school for a few hours. None the less, it should be taken care of soon (let’s hope). I somehow think it was karma from something I’ve done that has brought these complications in my life. I’m begging that no more unpleasantries entry my life, but maybe that’s a lot to ask.

As of right now, Maggie seems to be doing ok, sometimes seeming a little different (maybe sad) but I can’t tell that much. I have a test in about a week in my Account class (this first part is essay only) and then I have more midterms coming up. All 3 of my classes are midterm/final based, unlike most of my undergraduate which had tests throughout the semester. I just recently bought an iPod conversion kit that is specifically made for BMW’s and will work with my DSP so I can access the iPod through the front stereo and using my stereo controls of my steering wheel. It will also display the names of the songs, etc. on my stereo because of the DSP converter. Besides that, I played a little softball last night (I was the catcher) and my legs are killing me for squating for 2 hours. Nothing else is that exciting, the rest of school is going ok, and Maggie is enjoying her walks and rides. I’ll let you know of any excitement as it happens.

DUH! So I should have an adjuster come take a look at the car in the next few days. Fun thing of the day… Driving Justin’s new Denali, wow is that a nice car. Makes me excited when I finally decide on my car. I am going to take some pictures of it and put them on my flickr and link them here in a few days. Since it is about 11:20 at night, I am going to go to bed, and read some finance to put me to sleep. And to all the random kids out there… School is cool! Well, maybe not, but in the long run it will increase your earning power by a huge amount. This post has to be one of the worst ramblings I’ve had so far, so that should show you how tired I am. More work…err… changing passwords for students in the morning. Will post soon, NIGHT!
