Bending the Law

I am curious to know everyone’s views on police that “bend” the law.  I was on my way to work the other day, and to my “suprise” there was a police officer going about 10-15 over the speed limit.  Randomly I see cops flash their lights when they’re running a red light, then turn them off when they go through the light.  Both times the police had no reason to do what they did, but they break the law all the time.  I can say things such as “lead by example”, but on more basic level, how can anyone that does have a problem do anything about it?  I’d like to know if any of you think it’s fine for the police to do this.

There are situations where police must approach certain calls ’silent’ so they will use lights to quickly pass through intersections on their way to their destination. These occasions, however, are rare. Most of the time the cops are just speeing because they can. You can take down their car number and report it at the station. After a certain number of complaints there is supposedly some sort of disciplinary action.
