To sum it up, went to Houston. Saw my niece, Brenda, Ryan, my father, my mother, Larry, my cousin Mark and his mother and some foreign kid from France who was cool, my cousin Emily and her boyfriend Matt, my Uncle Howie and Jan. Went to some bars in Houston to see the nightlife, which was mostly good. Uploaded some pictures to my flickr of all the fun (you have to register to add a comment). Other than that, I’m looking to replace my car which has again broke. Daisy went to the vet, but I think she’s feeling better and hopefully it’s not serious. I’ll be more specific in my next post. Hope all is well.

7/14/06 at 8:21 am, my niece was born. She weighs 7lbs 8oz and is 20 in. in length with a 13 1/2 in. head. Congratulations to my brother for being a father, and to Brenda for being a mother. I’d also like to point out that while I may be Uncle Nick, my parents are grandparents, which is the funniest to me. Anyhow, I look forwarding to seeing her in a few days when I go to Houston. Here is the first picture of her, enjoy!

Caballo Burgers
Well I was invited to a BBQ (not actually bbq, but where there’s cooking on a grill, so it’s still a bbq) at my friend Jimmy’s house in Broken Arrow. Now normally this wouldn’t be much to write about, except for the fact that he made his special Caballo burgers. They are awesome. Nothing really else to say about them, except they are delciious. The recipe is 3 parts beef, 1 part spicy sausage, marinate them in Worcestershire sauce and pepper… then put butter and season salt on the while they’re grilling. He just used regular burgers, but it was still good. Anyhow, if anyone tries the recipe, let me know how you like them and I will gladly relay the message. But remember, you’re using Jimmy Hart’s recipe, so give credit where credit is due.
The Gym
So Casey and I went to the gym, like normal, except he needed to catch up because he missed a few days, so we were going to have a long workout. We get there at about 4 pm and start working out. We had to leave at around 5:30 to pickup his car from the dealership because they don’t know how to fix his navigation system. So we get back like 30 minutes later and start working out again. But before we leave the locker room, Casey whispers, “The naked man is sitting on my phone.” I look over at the bench, and see this red, sweaty ass, pressed on Casey’s phone. The guy then moves the phone over without saying anything. Casey’s face shows everything that I would be thinking, and I run out of the locker room trying not to laugh. Well after laughing for a few minutes, we continue our routine. Well we see one of the trainers that can bench around 315, take a 45lb weight off of each side (225) and see if his friend can do it. The guy can’t so he takes another set of 45lb’s off. So the weight is down to 135, and the guy tries to get it. I turn around back towards his location when I hear the grunt and hear the weights hit the floor as his loses control of the bar. Now you figure that the trainer should have helped him or something, but whatever. That was also quite funny seeing as how an extremely geeky guy (he’s about 6’6″, has daisy dukes on, and a belly t-shirt) trying to help him lift it back. Well we finished our workout at around 8:30 and spent the next 30 minutes in the hot tub and pool. Needless to say, after making dinner and watching some of a movie, I was tired, and extremely sore. Today, I am feeling sore in even more areas and I am not looking forward tonight at all. Hope all of your weekends are going well, and I hope you enjoyed the funny occurances that seem to follow me.
Nacho Libre…Bachelorette Party
First, let’s discuss Nacho Libre, which Scott and I saw yesterday. Holy crap it was so stupid yet extremely funny. The plot wasn’t anything special, but some of the crazy stuff they did in the movie was unexpected. I laughed so hard, it made my face hurt. Anyhow, I would recommend anyone wanting to see it to have no doubt that you shall like it.
As for the Bachelorette party, what happened there was Casey and I went to Cowboy Sharkies (we wanted to try a new bar). Well this chick that was having her party came up with her Mom and her friend (who informed us she was a stripper a few years ago, but she’s smart none the less). They had some cards in their hand that if they completed they received points for. Well she had a card that said “Take a tequila shot” and another that said “Take a shot with a guy” that she completed when she took a shot of Cuervo with Casey (I don’t do shots, and if I did, Tequila is not my choice). So her friend gave me a card that said “Chug a beer with a guy” so I gladly excepted the challenged and SPANKED her. I know it wasn’t a race, but thank goodness I didn’t get beat because that doesn’t help one’s self-esteem. Well they left, and we continued to have some drinks and listen to terrible music that a guy with a “Contra” game shirt kept playing on the jukebox. Well in this bar, there’s a game where you see how hard you can punch a bag and it rates the punch. Well the screen with the score on it is not facing us, so I wasn’t sure what people we’re getting, but we did see this guy wind-up as if he were throwing a baseball and fall on his arse. So after laughing and hearing Casey say how he could beat everyone, I decided to challenge him. The top score on the machine was 904, and I went first out of us two. My first one I punched an 853, but I wasn’t sure it was going to hold up. So I gave it a little more “bang for the buck” and came up with an 872. Well Casey’s first shot was the best with an 861, sanctifying my victory. We also started keeping track of games of basketball (1 on 1) since we lost track of the ones from our freshman year (which I am sure I was losing by a lot of games). But as it stands, I am currently winning 7-4 with a 3 game winning streak. This does not include our game of horse in which I was also victorious. Anyhow, enough enlightenment on my skills, I am going to go do some laundry and figure out something fun to do.
